Hey y’all! My name is Maddie Rule, and I’m so honored to be a part of the FABcamp speaker presentations! I was born and raised in East Tennessee in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. In high school, I was a member of the band (twirling baton as a majorette during the fall and playing percussion in the spring), played softball, and was an active member of my local and state DECA chapters. I then went on to get a bachelor’s degree at The University of Tennessee – Knoxville in Marketing with a concentration in International Business and a minor in Tourism and Hospitality Management. During my time in college, I was accepted into the Global Leadership Scholars Program where I was able to study and intern abroad in London, England during my sophomore year. In this program, I made some great memories and even better friends, and the experience allowed me to build my confidence and independence. Between my junior and senior years, I found an amazing internship with Carvana where I found what I considered then (and still do now!) my dream job.

After graduating, I moved to Nashville, TN to work for Carvana as a Field Advocate in Market Operations where I was helping customers get their cars out of our signature Car Vending Machines or delivering the cars directly to their door (yes, I drove the single-car hauler all on my own!). After doing this for two years, I transitioned into my current position as a Brand Activation Specialist, Community. In my role, I work on everything related to Carvana’s community engagement initiatives. This ranges from helping teams sponsor local events in their area to fulfilling passion projects that give back and help our communities. As part of our IndyCar campaign, I am facilitating tour stops at Carvana’s Inspection and Reconditioning Centers where our team members get an opportunity to check out a replica IndyCar and enter to win exclusive Carvana Racing swag. I also have the pleasure of working on a video series we create called Carvana Cares, in which we highlight the great work that’s being done by our team members across the country. Stories include essential supply donations to a pre-school, filling free fridges with food, and car giveaways!

In my free time, I enjoy playing board games, video games, tennis, and disc golf (clearly, I have a competitive nature). At home, I love playing with my cat, Sheik, and spending time with my boyfriend. I also love to travel and experience new places and cultures. The next international destination I’m planning to go to is Japan to see the cherry blossom trees in full bloom. I’m looking forward to speaking with you soon!
