December 6 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm PSTFree
ATTENTION ALL BUILDERS, ENGINEERS, ARTISTS…THIS IS THE CAMP FOR YOU!
The crafts, the skills, the fun that has been passed down from generation to generation. Have you heard family stories of activities and crafts from years past? We are bringing that back to life with the Lost Arts camp!
Every week we will cover eight skill topics: fundamental, outdoor, art, STEM, fun, health, culture and baking.
WEEK ONE OF CAMP IS FILLED WITH THESE FUN ACTIVITIES:
Gardening – Shayne will show you how to create a small decorative container garden and we’ll create a arugula flat that will produce your first salad in 2 weeks!
Building a Campfire – Just in case you make it onto an episode of “Survivor” we are gathering campfire building suggestions from our favorite campers – a fire fighter, a survivalist and our fearless leader
Painting Your Pet Rock – Tanisi is masterful with bright colors and fun ideas. We’re going to paint some rocks in a variety of designs!
Coding for Beginners – Megan will teach a few tips and tricks for HTML and CSS.
How to Make Truffles – Warn your parents! We’re taking over the kitchen! Get your ingredients together so that we can make some delicious Oreo Truffles together.
Calm It Down Meditation – With a name like Ocean you know she has a calming effect! Ocean will be leading us through a mediation that you will be able to use when you are having a freakout and need to calm your brain.
Cultures From Around the World – We’re going to take a look a holidays that are celebrated around the world during this time. Laksita is going to start us off with India’s Festival of Lights, Diwali.
My Favorite Cookie – Ms. Loxley learned this recipe at your age and has been making every year since. This is a very fun, quick and yummy recipe that you can do yourself! Download our Christmas Cookbook and get the ingredients!
