Current Role Within Your Company

Owner

In a Nutshell

After a rewarding career in health care leadership, sports and finance, I started my own consulting business. My mission is to partner with athletes and community leaders who want to change the world through passion projects. My current projects are focused on financial empowerment, maintaining wellness through this pandemic, equality and equity.

I am in the process of writing a book and just found my editor. Through this pandemic, I am picking up some hours to assist with the support and supervision of health care workers.

Background

Currently, I am the owner of 2 Corporations. Diane Miller Consulting and FirstDown4Ever. I decided to open these businesses after of 30 year career where I worked alongside the best companies and employees.

I recently moved to the western part of North Carolina and bought a tiny house in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A perfect place to sit with birds and occasional bears, as I work on books and projects.

My goal is to travel part time and use my tiny house as a base. Prior to NC, I’ve lived in WI and NY. But my birthplace and real home is Southern California. Born in Los Angeles where I spent my early childhood. I also spent my 20s and much of my 30s in Orange County and San Diego, where I studied public health at SDSU. (My undergrad science degree in Nursing is from Alverno College in Wisconsin).

I have 2 daughters (Alexis & Diana) in college and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

My mission is to partner with athletes and community leaders who want to change the world. I believe in volunteerism and giving back. I made a goal as a teenager to see all 7 continents in this lifetime. I cut my expenses and semi-retired so travel could be a bit part of my life. It’s where we learn the most.

Nature is my thing. It’s where I get my energy. I also just started triathlons and love biking, swimming, hiking, fishing. I may one day get back to flying which I learned in California. Beauty is a theme in my life. Art, music, trees, etc. I get excited seeing human potential. I believe we all have so much potential to make the world better and to reach our goals and purpose here.

I am in the process of writing a book and just found my editor. Through this pandemic, I am picking up some hours to assist with the support and supervision of health care workers.

Why I Got Into a Career in Motorsports

I am newer to this world. I do have a friend who designed, built and owned the car that held the world fastest speed for many years. I have a science degree. I do love airplanes and needed to learn the basic mechanics in ground school. And sports have been a part of my life. My great uncle played the original NHL teams and I did work with NFL teams for many years. I am excited to learn more about motor sports. And the women leaders in this field.

Favorite Car(s)

My first car was a 1970 Ford Mustang Boss. It was an older car at that time. But she was fast. And even though I have other favorites now (mostly older cars), it’s the car that makes me feel happy as it was my first. It was fast, cool, beautiful and the guys were all jealous.
