Do you love the business of storytelling? Of creating the impossible? Do you love the art of business and want to prove to your future schools and employers the amazing talents you have?
Athena Racing is here to demolish the status quo and provide a fun place for you to learn and grow. Here at Athena it is okay to nerd-out on puzzles that will blow most people’s minds. We look at all of the parts of business and use innovation and imagination to take what exists and make it better. We take cars apart and put them back together. We take a racecourse and break it down with the science of driving. We develop a laser-focused awareness that instills a sense of safety that others don’t possess.
If you have been looking for your place to explore and build your portfolio, you have found it. If you want to become a designer, creative director, filmmaker, the businesswoman and be on the team that creates something that the world has yet to imagine, this is where you start. The hands-on experience that you will gain here will give you the foundation from which to do anything and everything you set your mind to!
CRITERIA
Have a demonstrated interest in business, marketing, pr, photography or videography
Be in pursuit of a related career
Maintain a 3.0 GPA or better at your high school
Be 14 to 19-years old and have a current drivers license
Have both parents or guardians sign the consent forms and waivers
Have your own transportation to all training, races, events and speaking engagements
Be drug-free, smoke-free, and drama-free
Be a xx-chromosome female
HOW TO APPLY
STEP ONE:
Download the questions and spend time writing your story.
STEP TWO:
Create your faux post. Have fun and be creative thinking about how you would let your friends know… if you make the team.
STEP THREE:
Create a video. We want to know which part of Athena Racing you are most excited about.
STEP FOUR:
Once you have your answers, faux post and video ready, submit them to Athena Racing.
TRAINING
Four hours of study a week
Two days of a training per month
One call each week with the team director
Speaking engagements and interviews as scheduled
This will be the hardest, yet most rewarding experience you have in your high school career. You will have to commit to intense training – for yourself and for the support of your teammates. If you are willing to make the commitment, we want you on our team! Submit your application before the deadline!
Athena Racing is a STEM Education extracurricular program for young ladies in high school and gap year who are pursuing careers in the Automotive, Motorsports and Transporation industries.
