Sara Swenson thrives on bringing people’s passions and ideas to life in the form of profitable and viable businesses.

Today, she takes innovative ideas to execution at PetDesk where she is Vice President of Product, leading of a team that is combining data, product strategy, and technology to help pets live healthier and longer lives.

After an early career in market research and product at large Silicon Valley companies, she took her passions to launch Boatbound, (AirBnB for boats) while also consulting and advising multiple early-stage start-ups.

Most notably before joining PetDesk, she was Head of Product & Strategy at CrossFit, Inc., where she spearheaded the relaunch of CrossFit Games Open and scaled the product development teams to support a globally vibrant CrossFit community.

In a Nutshell

As Navigator for Team Ponderosa it is my responsibility to be able to plot latitude & longitude, read topographic maps and time/speed/distance. Using these skills accurately identity checkpoints, select optimal routes that allows us to complete as many checkpoints each day during the Rebelle Rally.

Why I Got Into a Career in Motorsports

I grew up sailing competitively in the north east and at UC Santa Cruz. That led me to work for West Marine the largest boating supply business, that then led me to launch Boatbound (Airbnb for boats)
