#GIRLSINSTEM ON A JOURNEY OF STEM DISCOVERY
REPRESENTING AT: INDYCAR PORTLAND GRAND PRIX
Athena Racing is important to me because it has allowed me to learn more about the motorsports field that I want to work in the future from industry experts. It is also providing so many more young girls the same opportunity to learn about career paths they may have not even known they could work in. Being involved with this program has allowed me to explore motorsports careers and help me to decide that I want to work in Motorsports and Engineering in the future.
While at the Portland Grand Prix I hope to learn more about the engineering field and exactly what Trackside engineers do since I want to work as a trackside engineer. I am also excited to meet the engineers and people in the paddock. I am excited to gain knowledge from them and talk to them about what they did for education and how they got into the position they have today.
I love STEM because there are endless possibilities of what you can do with the knowledge you gain and how the work you can do can help change lives. A STEM education provides amazing career opportunities in so many different fields.
