FABcamp is back for the fourth fabulous year and we are all going to build an e-bike! This is THE online STEM-education maker camp for middle school and high school girls who are curious about making the world move – inventing, designing, building, engineering – how things work and those who make them.

While the theme of this STEM maker camp is the transportation industry sector it involves ALL skill sets. The speakers are experts in entrepreneurship, design, engineering, business, public speaking, journalism, and more!
The FAB Build
This year we are converting bicycles into e-bikes. A FABrication build you do yourself at home. Your design and engineering portfolio piece that you can ride into an interview!
Industry Experts
Our Athenians benefit from the wealth of experience our industry experts provide. Each day we’ll hear from five STEM role models related to the industry topic of the day.
Behind-the-Scenes Tours
Discover how things are made! We’ll show you how things are designed, manufactured, and marketed with tours at companies that are building the newest forms of transportation.
Our FABcamp build is to convert your regular bicycle into an e-bike while showing your unique individuality with customized and themed creations. We will show you how we plan, build, and wrench as we move our shop online.
The materials list of items you will need to purchase (approximately $800) will be posted on Club Athena’s portal on July 5th.

How do I become a member?
We accept membership applications on a continuous basis.
If approved, we will onboard you to our private members-only online portal.
There currently is no fee to apply.
If our membership is at capacity, you will be added to the wait list.
Membership registration lasts until you graduate high school or no longer pay your membership fees. You must be a member in order to register for all Club Athena events.
If you are serious about a STEM career, this is the club to join!
Do I have to be interested in mechanics or racing to join Club Athena?
No! Our goal is to expose our members to ALL of the career paths that are available! It isn’t even necessary to have a driver’s license! Although with DRIVE we are teaching the fundamentals of driving on a racing sim to better improve performance and safety on the street.
At Club Athena, our team believes in getting our hands dirty! You won’t realize what you love, like, or never-want-to-do-again until you try it. Our founder grew up learning how to do a variety of jobs in construction from driving a bulldozer to building her first house while she was in college. Because of that hands-on experience, she had better ideas based on real-life experience as to what would and would not work when designing and innovating new products.
Does being a club member help with college applications?
100% of our Athenians have been accepted into their college of choice!
The extra-curricular activities you participate in show universities who you are as a person and if you will be a good fit for their program. The dedication required to complete our programs, as well as the leadership and life skills that will become a part of your character, all speak volumes as to who you are.
