SHEENA MONK
IMSA GT3 DRIVER, #66 GRADIENT RACING
Sheena Monk has quickly proven herself as one of the most exciting up-and-coming racing talents since she began her career just a few short years ago. After attending the Lamborghini Corso Pilota program in September 2017, the American began competing wheel-to-wheel only two months later with no prior racing experience.
Her journey has not been without struggle. In 2018, after solidifying a class win at VIRginia International Raceway, adversity struck the following round at Laguna Seca Raceway, where Sheena suffered an accident and fractured nine bones.
As part of her quest to reach GT3 competition, the de facto grand touring category of motorsports globally, Monk began racing the GT4 class as the next major step in her progression.
In 2020, although still relatively new to racing, Sheena became just the 3rd woman to win a GS race in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge or any of its previous iterations. It’s the first overall victory by a woman in the series since 2015, and it happened on just her 3rd race entered at this level.
For 2023, Sheena moved up to GT3 and teamed with highly acclaimed driver Katherine Legge in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The female pair drive together in some of the top races globally, such as the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring.
