The backstory:

Born in Seattle, Washington – I love the rain and being outdoors.

Attended University of Washington with a major in Architecture. DNF

I went on a trip to Italy while at UW and knocked on Pininfarina’s door to figure out how to design cars for a living. Shortly after that trip I moved to Pasadena to take classes at ACCD. Over the next year and a half, I put together a portfolio and was accepted to Art Center’s Transportation Design program.

I spent a summer in Italy with Pininfarina designers, then secured an internship with Volvo in SoCal before graduation.

After graduating and deciding to move back to Seattle, and started working for Teague and Boeing, focused on airplane interiors such as the 787 Dreamliner, 747-8 and others. I also worked on some consumer electronics projects in Teague’s product design studio during this time.

Three years later, I moved back to SoCal to work for Sanuk as the men’s and boy’s footwear designer. A couple years later I was promoted to oversee all Product Design for Sanuk.

In 2010 I met with Alan about working for HRE as a product designer, which later expanded into leading all marketing efforts.
