Jeni started her career in commercial real estate as a property manager more than 20 years ago. Ten years ago, she went back to law school and has been a practicing real estate attorney since 2012. Her law practice focuses on helping commercial landlords with their transactional needs.

Jeni has been involved with vintage cars her entire life, with her dad taking her to her first race when she was six-years old. She has been wrenching on her own cars and racing since she was 18. She loves the sport and the outlet it gives her to be both creative with solving mechanical issues and competitive on the track.

Jeni has been married to her wonderful and supportive husband for almost 20 years and they have two grown children, both of who have an interest in cars. Jeni and her daughter, Nicole, are restoring a 1964 Ford Ranchero and it is only a matter of time before her daughter also starts racing.  Jeni has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Corvette Magazine for her racing and is a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star for two consecutive years. She is also on her local community planning group, a member of the Board of Directors for Athena Racing, and is a member of the Executive Committee for the California Lawyer’s Association Real Property Law Section.

teachings of a Mentor

“There should be no difference in opportunity for women or men in STEM fields, or in racing. I have seen people act on biases that they don’t even realize they have.  I don’t want my daughter, or any other woman or girl, to deal with that.”

The hands-on experience of maintaining the racecars in my family, especially the ’64 Corvette.  And the on-going project of restoring a ’64 Ranchero with my daughter who is pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree at Cal Poly.

I started out as a commercial property manager and went back to law school for a second career.  I ran my own firm for five years before joining a small business law firm.
