JASMINE NICHOLS
MOTOAMERICA JUNIOR CUP RACER, TEAM PANDA
Before February 2017, I had never once piloted a motorcycle. I had only ridden as a passenger on the back of my dad’s motorcycle. However, after being taught the basics of operation, I completed her first year of MiniGP racing (2017), placing 5th in northern California (no official SoCal racing that first season). In 2018, I finished 4th in northern California and 2nd in southern California.
I was later personally trained by Young Lee owner of M1GP from May 2017 to January 2020. In August of 2019, I competed in the first official National Ohvale Cup Race at MotoAmerica’s Round 8 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A single race showcasing the best across the MiniGP circuit in America. I finished within the top 10.
In late 2019, I helped demonstrate drills, promote the program, and instruct participants during the M1GP Rider Clinics at the annual Babe’s Ride Out event in Santa Margarita, California
I continued to ride MiniGP until late 2020 when I got a Ninja 250 to train on the full-size tracks with. In early 2021 I got a Ninja 300 to further advance my skill on full-size tracks. In mid-2021, we were approached by Feel Like A Pro owner Ryan Peterson. He offered me a spot on his club race team, which was full of Ninja 400s.
In late 2020 I competed in my first official club race (AFM) in the novice division. In my first race round, I won three 3rd place finishes and a 1st. My second time at that track I set the lap record for the Superstock class.
In 2021 and 2022 I secured championships for all of my classes.
I continue to race the Ninja 400 and will be competing for the championship at the national level in the MotoAmerica racing series.
