ROLE MODEL SPEAKER
Driver, Rebelle Rally – Team Ponderosa 2018 Jeep Wrangler | Driver, Flying Lizard Motorsports Mclaren 570S GT4 | Owner/Vice President, Vogel Properties, Inc.
With close family ties to both racing and entrepreneurship, the drive to excel has always come naturally to Erin Vogel.
Growing up around stories of racing, working hard, and never ceasing to learn, she took that driven mentality with her to Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch for her first HPDE event in 2009.
Immediately hooked, she attended every track event she could manage over the next few years, growing both in skills and in community within the Southern California motorsports scene. After competing in Audis, BMWs, Subarus, and Porsches at the grassroots level, in 2018 she was introduced to Flying Lizard Motorsports.
That fall, she spearheaded their first all-female race effort at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, where the 5 female racers won their class and finished 4th overall in their Audi R8 LMS GT4 among a very competitive field. In 2019, Erin became the first female racer to compete at a professional level for Flying Lizard, in the same Audi at a one-off SRO GT4 America race.
For the 2020 season, Erin competes alongside 4-time National Champion Michael Cooper at SRO GT4 America SprintX in the Flying Lizard McLaren 570S GT4.

In a Nutshell
Why I Got Into a Career in Motorsports
With a family history in racing, I first began taking my street car to the track in 2009. Over the last ten years, my experience has grown to include road racing at both the grassroots and professional levels. To further my craft, I’ve done training in many other motorsports disciplines, including street bikes and off-road rally. 2020 will be my first year competing in off-road racing.
Does it have at least 2 pedals? I’ll drive it!
